Northamptonshire Ecology Surveys

Northamptonshire is nestled in the heart of England, being part of the East Midlands area. Bordered by eight other counties it is completely landlocked. There are several large towns within the county including Northampton, Daventry, Rushen, Kettering and Corby, but much of the county is still rural.

There are many villages and market towns scattered across the county. Most notably Towcester and Wellingborough. Being mostly rural in nature the county offers wildlife many opportunities. There are many nature reserves and features such as the Grand Union Canal and River Nene running through the county. These large features coupled with the farmed landscape, which includes woodlands, grassland and traditionally managed habitats all give wildlife major opportunities.
If you are planning a barn conversion, new house or new build it is likely that you will need to have an ecology or bat survey for your project. Getting these surveys done early will give you time to deal with any issues that may arise and likely save you time and money at a later date.
